Hello sdl comrades!!! New to scene!!!
Indubitably, I must acknowledge lazy foo, as his enlightening tutorials engendered the "game programmer" in me. (Of course I haven't slayed Sam Latinga from my copious well of gratitude!!!!)
Between Ferbuary and April of this year, I had covered the foundation of C procedural language, and metamorphosed to a beyond average programmer, (to the point where I taught my entire class the language, where my name [Jordan Micah Bennett] became famous among students of elevated classes who crazed insatiably for my assistance ) Anyway, that was merely C language, which served as educational/school needs.
Basically, I graduated from being perplexed at the sound of variable, to the perplexites of writing obscure Win Api code, to writing code that reverse string toggled by user!!!!!!!
After exams terminated June 10, 2009, I wanted to persue game programming. I searched for many means, and initially, I hadn't the faintest conception of what a game library was. After weeks of tireless search for making games, I encoundtered Simple Direct Media Library. While on it's main site, I dont know what triggered my fingers to toggle "lazy foo's" tutorials, but I did just that!!!!!! After about a week, I had majority of the lessons at the back of my hand, excluding Open Gl, semaphores, multithreading, resizable windows, game saves, and string input. I spent hours writing test code, so much so that I dreamt about a deathmatch between SDL.h, and compiler.(joke)
Anyway, since about a week ago, I started deving my first game, "VoiD". This site will serve as a means by which formidable updates will present themselves to you, as I have merely written the foundation of the game, and don't desire to upload it for now.....
